Talk is at the Boulder Psychotherapy Institute: 1140 Lehigh Street, Boulder, CO 80305. Here’s a link with Directions: https://www.boulderpsych.com/directions.php. You can register at the Colorado Association for Psychotherapists website.
Important: Please park across the street on the south side of Bear Creek Park. This is a residential neighborhood, and we need to keep the neighbors happy.
The Talk: “Our previous therapist Never asked us about our sex life.” I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve heard this in the last 16 years as a couple’s therapist. Clients seem relieved if not a little dumbfounded by the ease with which I pose the inquiry: “Tell me a little or a lot about your erotic life.” Or “What’s your sex life look like these days?” There are so many ways to engage in the conversation.
In this talk, we will explore individually, in dyads, and in large group discussion how to create more comfort with ourselves and our clients in engaging in the conversation and exploration of sex and sexuality. We will also discuss the large lexicon of sexual terminology so that definitions and usage are more clear.
The Presenter: Deb Azorsky is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Boulder, Colorado with a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists.
